לְיַד הַבַּיִת שֶׁלִּי בְּתֵל-אָבִיב יֵשׁ קַנְיוֹן עֲנָק.  קוֹרְאִים לוֹ ‘קַנְיוֹן עָזְרִיאֵלִי”.

Near my house in Tel Aviv there is a huge mall. It’s called ‘Azrieli Mall’ ‘.

בַּקַּנְיוֹן אֶפְשָׁר לִמְצוֹא הַכֹּל: חֲנוּיּוֹת בְּגָדִים, חֲנוּיּוֹת סְפָרִים, בָּתֵּי קָפֶה, סְנִיפֵי בַּנְק וַאֲפִילּוּ בֵּית כְּנֶסֶת. 

In the mall you can find everything: clothing stores, bookstores, cafes, bank branches and even a synagogue.

יֵשׁ קַנְיוֹן לְיַד הַבַּיִת שֶׁלְּךָ?

Is there a mall near your house?

לִפְעָמִים אֲנִי אוֹהֵב לָלֶכֶת לַקַּנְיוֹן וְלִקְנוֹת בְּגָדִים אוֹ סְפָרִים.

Sometimes I like to go to the mall and buy clothes or books.

הַחֲנוּיּוֹת בַּקַּנְיוֹן נוֹרָא יְקָרוֹת. לְמָשָׁל, בַּחֲנוּת הַסְּפָרִים שֶׁל הַקַּנְיוֹן יֵשׁ רַק סְפָרִים חֲדָשִׁים – אֵין סִפְרֵי יָד שְׁנִיָּיה.

The stores in the mall are terribly expensive. For example, the mall’s bookstore only has new books – no second-hand books.

לָכֶן, הַסְּפָרִים שָׁם נוֹרָא יְקָרִים.  גַּם בָּעִיר שֶׁלְּךָ זֶה כָּכָה?

That’s why, the books there are terribly expensive. Is it like that in your city too?

יֵשׁ אֲנָשִׁים שֶׁאוֹהֲבִים לָלֶכֶת לַקַּנְיוֹן בִּשְׁבִיל לְבַלּוֹת. הֵם יוֹשְׁבִים בְּבָתֵּי קָפֶה וְאַחַר כָּךְ עוֹשִׂים ‘שׁוֹפִּינְג’. 

Some people like to go to the mall to hang out. They sit in cafes and then go shopping.

הֵם קוֹנִים כָּל מִינֵי דְּבָרִים: נַעֲלַיִים, רְהִיטִים וּמוּצְרֵי חַשְׁמַל.

They buy all kinds of things: shoes, furniture and electrical appliances.

אַחֲרֵי שֶׁהֵם מְסַיְּימִים לַעֲשׂוֹת קְנִיּוֹת, הֵם הוֹלְכִים לִרְאוֹת סֶרֶט, בִּגְלַל שֶׁבַּקַּנְיוֹן יֵשׁ גַּם בָּתֵּי קוֹלְנוֹעַ. 

After they finish shopping, they go to see a movie, because the mall also has movie theaters.

אֵילוּ חֲנוּיּוֹת וַעֲסָקִים יֵשׁ בַּקַּנְיוֹן שֶׁאַתָּה הוֹלֵךְ אֵלָיו?

What stores and businesses are there in the mall that you go to?

אֲנִי אוֹהֵב לָלֶכֶת לְחָנוּת כְּלֵי נְגִינָה. שָׁם אֲנִי מְנַגֵּן בְּגִיטָרָה חַשְׁמַלִּית. אֲנִי מַמָּשׁ אוֹהֵב אֶת זֶה, כִּי אֶפְשָׁר לַעֲשׂוֹת רַעַשׁ…

I like to go to a musical instrument store. There I play the electric guitar. I really like it, because you can make noise…

אַחַר כָּךְ, אֲנִי הוֹלֵךְ לְחָנוּת לְמוּצְרֵי סְפּוֹרְט וּמוֹדֵד בִּגְדֵי סְפּוֹרְט מְיוּחָדִים, כְּמוֹ חֲלִיפַת צְלִילָה אוֹ חֲלִיפַת גְּלִישָׁה.

Then, I go to a sporting goods store and try on (Lit. ‘measure’) special sportswear, such as a wetsuit or a surfing suit.

מָה אִתְּךָ? מָה אַתָּה אוֹהֵב לַעֲשׂוֹת בַּקַּנְיוֹן?

בַּקַּנְיוֹן לְיַד הַבַּיִת שֶׁלִּי יֵשׁ חֲנוּת מְאוֹד מְיוּחֶדֶת לְדִבְרֵי מַאַפֶה.

(In) The mall near my house has a very special pastry shop. (Lit. ‘a shop for pastry stuff’) 

בַּחֲנוּת הַזֹּאת יֵשׁ הַכֹּל: לַחְמָנִיּוֹת שׂוּמְשׂוֹּם, עוּגוֹת יוֹם הוּלֶּדֶת , עוּגִיּוֹת גְּבִינָה וְסוּכָּרִיּוֹת שׁוֹקוֹלָד. 

This store has everything: sesame rolls, birthday cakes, cheesecakes and chocolate candies.

גַּם בַּקַּנְיוֹן שֶׁלְּיַד הַבַּיִת שֶׁלְּךָ יֵשׁ חֲנוּת כָּזֹאת?
